Description
Even though the rugby league season has been finished for a few weeks now there has still been plenty of news coming from Scots.
Apart from the presentation evenings for the Senior and Mid Grades over the past couple of weeks (and the junior grades happening this weekend) here is some of the other big news.
Raffle Winners
Winner of the Major Raffle was June Hiko and the ticket was sold by A. grade player Jamie Tavui at work (he sold 8 books at work)
Joey Johns Jersey Raffle was drawn at the Senior grades presentation night and the very happy winner was Rhys Ellis (who seemed to have bought so many tickets that his odds were fairly good of winning).
Rugby League World Cup News
- Congratulations from all at Scots to our own Wes Naiqama who will be Captain of the Fiji during the World cup.
- Big news for the Scots U/8 team who have been given honour of being in the Guard of Honour World Cup Opening Ceremony.
Rep News
Congratulation to Joseph Rokoqo who has secured a 3 year contract to play Under 20’s with Cronulla. We know Joseph will make Scots proud.
The 2009 St George Matthews Cup and SG Ball Teams had also been annouced and as per our previous post we are rpoud of all the boys from Scots that made these sides.
Stay tuned for news and photos from the presentation events ….
