August 24, 2009

Congratulation to the U/17 team on reaching the Grand Final, with a win over Renown in the Final at Hurstville last Sunday.

For all interested the Grand Final will be at Leichhardt Oval this coming Sunday at 5.25 pm. If you can make it then please come along – the boys will appreciate all the support they can get from Scots to cheer this side home to a Premiership.

Commiserations to the U/13, U/16A and A. Grade who all went down in the Finals.

    Hi , My name is Daniel Rowlands I had the pleasure of growing up playing rugby league
    for Arncliffe Scots alongside Glenys Ellis’s son Rhys . I must say they were the most enjoyable days of my life . I started Playing In the U/9′s and finished at U15′s or 16′s I cant quite remember but 10 years on I kick myself everyday for not following thru on those tougher teenage years where as a rugby league player your skills truly devolop. Instead I took a different path & started smoking and other stupid things ang threw everything out the door.Now I watch footy of a friday night as would a few of my old team mates and see the likes of Wes Ngauma 1 grade above me and wish I had put in alot more effort.And would like to thank Glenys Ellis , Peter Cope , Pat Kelly , Pat McDermmot , Ernie Els , Ken Holden, Christine McDermott , Malcom Kite and many others for making my rugby league experience growing up Very Memorable.I will never forget my day’s as a Scots Boy.

    P.S I never played a game after Scots but after 10yrs away from league I’m thinking of making a return for next year 2010 . Any suggestion of Clubs?
