Urgent Scots News for This Week

TRAINING: Unless players hear from team staff (and team staff receive a message from Glenys) all training is on this week.

PHOTOS: U/6 to U/12 photo will be taken at Cahill Park on Saturday regardless of the weather and if games are on or off – they will be taken under the Veranda.  Details on times for photos will be made available tomorrow.

STATE OF ORIGIN: Game Two is on Wednesday night at again we will be having an evening of fun (and a chance to do some much needed fundraising) – ALL welcome! Entry is $5 and includes a ticket in the draw for an Andrew Johns signed football and two doubles tickets.  Make sure you are there!

Training Cancelled - Thurs June 5

Training for Thursday 5th June is off for U/6 to U/17 grades. No decision has yet been made on U/19 and A. grade.

Also no decision yet on whether the wet weather has effected the A. Grade games this weekend in Cronulla.

UPDATE : please note that all games in the Cronulla district have been cancelled this weekend due to grounds under water – therefore the A. grade game has been called off this week to be played the following weekend.

Congratulations to Rep Players

Scots have always provided strong, skilled players to the ranks of St George’s junior representative teams and 2008 is no different to years past.  We are proud of all our players but in particular would like to congratulate the following St George rep players.

Training Cancelled - Tues June 3rd

Due to the wet weather (Barton Park ground is under water) and there are no games this weekend for the U/6 to U/19, training has been called off for today Tuesday 3rd June.  Thursday training will be reviewed and advised on Thursday morning.

Trial Dates

Registration with Scots Rugby League in 2008

REGISTRATION FEES
Due to an increase in the cost of Jerseys, Socks, Shorts and Insurance the club has had to increase the club fees – this is the first increase in five years. Fees will be :

  • 1st Player in family - $70
  • 2nd Player in family - $60
  • 3rd Player in family - $50 – 4th and other siblings free

Fees includeJersey (you get to keep it at the end of the year) and Socks – Shorts on sale $20 a pair

LIMITED TIME DISCOUNT : There will be a $10 reduction on all fees payed before the weekend of 12th/13th April

Registration happens on Tuesdays and Thursday at training.  Just head on over to the sheds and complete the registration forms.

Start of Training

It’s the start of another year and everyone is looking at getting back into training for the year ahead.  Below are all the details for when each age group starts training.  Even if you can’t make it for the first week or two then just come down and join in as soon as you can.

All training will be on Tuesdays and Thursday at North Barton Park (via the Access Road) – West Botany Street Arncliffe, starting on the date below.

A grade and U/19 – Tuesday the 5th February – at 6.30
Pre season training as one squad – conducted by Darrell Bartlett (Club Head Trainer), Rhys Ellis (Club Strength and Conditioning Coach), and Dib El Ters (U/19 Coach)

U/17 – U/16 – U/15 – Tuesday the 5th February – at 6.30
Pre season training as one squad – conducted by Paul Nakhle (U/17 Coach), John Lahoud (U/16 Coach) and Andre Martin (U/15 Coach)

U/14 – U/13 – Tuesday the 12th February at 6p.m.
Pre season training as one squad – conducted by Graham Harris (Coaching Convenor and U/14 Coach) and John McKnoulty (U/13 Coach)

U/12 – U/11 – U/10 – U/9 - Tuesday the 12th February at 5p.m.

A New Season Just Ahead

The Scots Executive and Committee would like to wish all players, family and our community a very happy new year!

The training for the 2008 season  will be starting before we know i, but before we get into this year some of the photos from last year’s presentations (as well as on the park action shots) have been loaded up for you to see.  This is not the complete batch yet as we still have some to get in the system.  Check back again soon to see the extras.

1.    Reading and Confirmation of the Minutes of the previous A.G.M.
2.    Consideration and Adoption of the Annual Report

ELIGIBLE TO VOTE – As per the Constitution number 9 (a to e)

As per the Constitution numbers 12 and 13

All matters for consideration (voting) at the A.G.M. must be in the form of a submission tabled at a general committee meeting prior to the A.G.M.

All matters for discussion (General Business) at the A.G.M. must be submitted to the Secretary in writing 7 days prior to the meeting (that means it needs to be received by Glenys prior to Tuesday 9th October).
